Test

PERSONALITY
Creepy, morbid, haunted—thousand-yard stare doesn't help. Quiet and introverted. Stubborn. Beneath the chilly outer layer: perceptive. Intelligent and well-spoken. Resilient. Resolute. Hates violence for violence's sake (monotous in the Wasteland, now say something true and beautiful). Compassionate. Loyal. Poster boy for angry hope (fuck it, we'll make a better world out of spite, every agony to temper my blade). Not-so-secret idealist stuck in an amoral, realist hellscape, forced to be a pragmatist. Sunrays on a winter's thaw.
Appearance
Tall (6'0", 1.82 m), toned but not overly muscular. Medium brown skin. Dark brown eyes, nearly black, with a thousand-yard stare when left to his own devices. Pitch black hair, thick and curly, medium length, tucked behind one ear to keep away from his face. Two faint, crescent-shaped scars on his face: one below the corner of his right eye, other by his left cheekbone. Wears a modified Brotherhood jumpsuit with the Followers' insignia, collar popped. In relaxed environments unbuttons the top, tying the sleeves around his waist, sleeveless white shirt underneath. Black combat boots.
Born to a couple in the Brotherhood of Steel, Dirge’s upbringing was rather blessed for a post-apocalyptic society. He was taught how to read, write and speak English in addition to his parent’s Spanish, as well as basic history, science and military training. His aptitude for sharpshooting was noted quickly, encouraged to pursue this natural talent for the good of the order. Breezing through his educational and martial curriculum made becoming an officer a foregone conclusion. It was noted, however, that Dirge possessed some quirks that should be carefully monitored—his insatiable curiosity for the outside world, and a disinclination in starting his own family. Both traits, by themselves, were not cause for concern, but combined pointed towards a possibility to stray from the Brotherhood’s values.

So it was decreed he ought to see how the rest of world struggles to live in hopes of keeping him straight. He was assigned as an operative to hunt down members who had strayed too far, meant as an example not only to others but also himself. “This is the Brotherhood’s justice,” every successful mark accused him in blood. “This is what awaits you too.”

Being the Brotherhood’s grim reaper got old, fast. Purposely failing his last assignment by freeing his mark and faking his death, Dirge ran as far as the Mojave Wasteland, becoming a mercenary due to a lack of other marketable skills. Once that got too hot—who knew deadly marksmen could get notorious so fast?—he switched jobs as an unassuming courier, gaining a reputation as a reliable worker who just wouldn’t die no matter what horrors the desert threw at him.

If only he hadn’t been shot in the face and buried alive, proving his ghosts right.

Always a foot in the grave.
history
Abilities
combat.
Trained as a sniper by the Brotherhood of Steel. Deadly from a distance, double so if he has the high ground. Trained in knife and unarmed combat, but it's more about getting away than killing a man with his bare hands. Getting sniped is more merciful than punching and stabbing each other to death so he'd rather do that. Also trained in power armor but hates it (cumbersome, conspicuous).
repair.
Able to repair and maintain most guns, particularly those that use bullets (bit clueless with energy weapons and doesn't trust them). The Brotherhood also taught him how to repair a variety of pre-war electronics, mainly simple things like radios or moderately complex like security turrets. Also able to disarm most traps.
survival.
Basic survival skills like scavenging, first aid, etcetera. A necessity in the Wasteland.
